About Us
We were inspired to share our spice blends with you due to the constant requests from our friends and neighbors in Canada. For years we provided curries to our friends who enjoyed Indian food. Even friends that categorized themselves as ‘meat and potatoes’ types called our curries amazingly flavourful often, coming back for more.
During the pandemic, quite a few of our friends moved out of the city. Some permanently and some went to their cottage or holiday home in order to safely social distance and stay away from crowds.
This is when we started getting calls. They wanted us to send them a care package containing our Curry Masala Powder, Golden Milk Drink, and other spice blends. They encouraged us to put it on an E-Commerce platform that they could purchase from. An idea was born!
We are the fourth generation of a family of chefs and culinary professionals. We grew up watching our great grandmother dry-roast, grind and blend her uniquely special spice blends and sharing them with neighbors and expatriates. We remember, oftentimes she would send packages abroad due to the referrals she received through her ongoing consumers.
The spices are dry-roasted and then ground before it is sifted. The various spices are then blended according to our family recipe creating our handcrafted MK SPICE BLENDS.
